Sweet and Sour Chicken Sauce


1 ½ cup white sugar

2/3 cup white vinegar

1 1/3 cup water

½ cup soy sauce

2 Tbs ketchup

4 Tbs cornstarch


Mix well in sauce pan.  Bring to a boil and stir continuously until the mixture has thickened.


I put these ingredients into a quart size baggie and freeze it.  It is easy to put into a sauce pan and heat, no need to thaw ahead.


I serve it with breaded chicken tenders and quinoa.  You could also serve with rice.
